FoodCycle @ LSE
Is it already 2010?!
After a recruitment of new project leaders in October 2009, the project got restarted after a 1 month break.
We've got a smooth operation going on at Holy Cross Centre Trust every Sunday. The centre provides a meeting place for people in the community that use the time to socialise with others, gain some skills, and also get a hot meal, which is even more important during this cold cold winter.
The food has been supplied to us from friendly and great farmers at the Islington Farmer's Market, and also Sainsburys and Planet Organic in the area.
Although the operations team is quite 'green' this is not reflected in the food that has been cooked.
There have been mouth watering dishes that have been prepared, including
Pumpkin SoupRoasted winter vegetablesFruit crumble... that was so big 60 people could not finish itand of course, FoodCycle's favorite, spanish omelette! We look forward to 2010, where we hope that we create even yummier dishes than before... which will definitely be the case as week by week, we are only getting closer to spring and summer, where we look forward to the fruits and vegetables that those seasons will yield for us.
Thanks so much for all the volunteers that have been coming, it's been great, and definitely would not have been possible with all your help!

Thanks!
