Bristol launched their project off on 10 Feb 2010 in a pack gong show at the Canteen in Bristol.

During the launch, the rockstar team of 12 young project leaders kicked things off in style by cooking enough for 120 people, mostly young students that were interested in volunteering, with entertainment from a local band.

The event was well attended by leaders from local social projects such as the Julian Trust.

They will be getting their food from local shops and markets, and if the food from the launch was the usuall fare that they are looking, then their customers will be in for quite a treat!

FoodCycle Bristol is supported by Awards for All in 2010 and will be setting up a student cafe that will cross subsidise its earnings to sustain the project's viability in 2011.
