Why food works?

Our programmes use food to reconnect young adults with their local communites while fighting food poverty. Social cohesion is formed among young leaders and disadvantaged people as young people directly help improve the communities that they live in.

The volunteers operate with the highest degree of professionalism in the kitchen and in food collection and delivery. FoodCycle volunteers and staff are fully covered by public liability insurance and have completed their Level 2 Certificate in Food Safety in Catering.
